I know of several comic songs geared towards engineers/physicists/etc. Here are a few of them.

On the maudlin side, we have Stevenson's "Christmas at Sea." Maudlin, yes, but I still like it. I first heard it on NPR about 6 years ago.

U.S. Poet Laureate Billy Collins wrote the very funny poem Litany, which pokes fun at poetic metaphors.

On the lighter side is Flanders and Swann's "Madeira M'Dear", which I remember from a melodrama that I saw when I was but a wee lad. I love the repeated use of...well, I don't know the word for it, but lines like "She lowered her standards by raising her glass, her courage, her eyes, and his hopes", in which "raising" takes different meanings in three of the four cases.

Christopher Smart's poem "For I will consider my cat Jeoffry" is terrific.
